Agripas

The project is located in the heart of Jerusalem’s historic urban fabric, within a site that includes preserved buildings and mixed-use residential and commercial functions. The planning is based on divisions of privately owned plots, in accordance with valid building plans, specifically the Beit Yaakov Plan and Jerusalem’s 2000 Master Plan. The proposal balances preservation, building additions, and enhancement of public spaces, while incorporating municipal urban renewal guidelines. The focus is on human-scale development, maintaining the values of the surrounding environment and the unique character of Agripas Street.

The project comprises 172 residential units in a diverse mix of 2- to 3-room apartments, with a total residential area of approximately 4,000 square meters. In addition, there are around 290 square meters of commercial space on the ground floor, providing an active street frontage. The façades face the existing urban alleys, featuring clear entrances, commercial lines, and an active ground floor – creating a precise balance between residential, commercial, and public spaces.

This is a proposal that respects the spirit of the place while introducing a contemporary architectural vision. The buildings integrate into the historic fabric, with selective preservation and minimal height. The façade design supports a smart, accessible urban lifestyle – connecting street life with life at home. A modern building proposal that delivers high-quality housing in the heart of the city, while preserving the original Jerusalem character that attracts people from across the country – and around the world.
